Client’s Summary
The client commissioned a new food production facility designed to meet stringent hygiene, safety, and regulatory requirements. As part of the facility’s commissioning phase, a high-performance flooring system was required to support daily production activities, frequent washdowns, and strict sanitation protocols. The production floor needed to provide a seamless, hygienic surface that would comply with food safety standards while withstanding chemical exposure, moisture, and continuous foot and trolley traffic. In addition to functional performance, the flooring system was expected to contribute to a clean, professional environment aligned with the client’s quality and operational standards.

POLYGARD® PSL 5020 | 5mm thick Self-Leveling Hybrid Polyurethane MF and Top Coat with Aliphatic Polyurethane as 2 Coats - Smooth Finish
A self-levelling polyurethane cement flooring system was specified for the new production area to deliver a durable, seamless, and hygienic finish. Following proper substrate assessment and surface preparation, the system was applied to form a non-porous, slip-resistant surface suitable for food production environments. The flooring provides excellent resistance to thermal shock, chemicals, moisture ingress, and heavy operational loads. This solution ensures ease of cleaning, long-term durability, and compliance with food industry requirements, supporting efficient production operations while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
